Oddly, except when I come here and deliberately expose myself to the fantasy crowd, no. IN the real world I tend to hang out with rational people not god-buggerers. In that respect I guess AF serves a need.
I have to be reminded how fucking stupid they really are!

I'd be like you, but I'm surrounded by christians and live with a FOX News, Bill O'Reilly, Ted Cruz, Sean Hannity, Donald Trump, Rick Santorum, virgin mary statue worshipper. Practically, an Alex Jones.
I must leave here soon!

I happened to see this as I was responding to SBC or it wouldn't have gotten answered. I will say this for the 100th time I do not deal in speculations and what ifs, they have no use in my life, they are a waste of time, there is no reality to them. As far as I'm concerned they belong to children living their young lives.
There's a simple answer to your question God wouldn't do that, it is tempting me to sin and God says He does not tempt man, end of answer and no what ifs needed. Have a good weekend, I probably want be back on till Monday.
GC What about the crazy old coot Abraham? Didn't God tell the dummy to gut and roast Isaac? Maybe God will make you the same offer he made Abraham. What will you do?

This is one of those questions the religious generally just won't answer, because both answers demonstrate the ridiculousness of their position. Saying god wouldn't do it is feeble, because he did do it at least twice in the bible. On one of those occasions, they went through with it, they killed and burned their own daughter as part of a bargain with god.
There is only one religious theist I've ever seen answer this question directly, and that is Huggy. He said no, and for that I give him credit both for making a stand and having the balls to answer the question.
I'd happily answer any hypothetical question anyone put to me, no matter how impossible or contrived, to the best of my ability. I'm confident my worldview is solid. It's very telling that you don't have to go far with some religious theists before they stop being able to do the same.

You know, the Bible isn't the only fiction novel written by man with contradictions! It's also not the only fictitious book to have "predicted the future" or at least coincidental anecdotal pseudo-facts!
However, logic would seem to indicate and should dictate that a book written about such a perfect, flawless, benevolent, all knowing, all seeing being would have been able to proofread the book before it hit the planet earth???
Or maybe something was in the translation from Klingon to... Sorry, I meant from Aramaic to English?

God's not going to make me the father of a nation, the work is now finished, it was finished at the cross. A plan that took 4000 years to develop and the result , billions of Christians.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Your reading comprehension must be terrible, God did not ask them to kill their daughter, they did it of their own choice and it did not make God happy.

I've never shied away from this question, my answers been different from Huggy's but, nevertheless I've answered it every time it was asked of me. I stated the truth of the situation according to the scriptures, you know those things you refuse to believe, those things I live my life by.

I believe you think your world view is solid, I also believe it will lead you to suppose those things that can't possibly be, what a waste of life.

Actually the World Fact Book estimates that of the 7 billion people on the planet only some 31% are "xtians" (2 billion+) at this point in time and many (catholics, JWs, Eastern/Russian Orthodox, Mormons, etc) are people that clowns like you do not even consider to be xtians.
You're on your way out, G-C. Enjoy the ride.

It should bother you that you live in a fairy tale of suppose this and suppose that, things that wouldn't happen ever.

Yep, walked past a preacher in town today yelling at people to repent. Was tempted to go ask him why he can't keep his delusions to himself but let him be even though it makes me puke that he's allowed to shout his bile to young kids wandering around town minding their own business.
But yeh, an adult, in 2015, believes one particular fairy tale is true but dismisses thousands of others at the drop of a hat. Fucking retards.
