I've been an Englishman in New York (and a few other states on occasion) and polite is not the word I'd use. More like fucking obsessed with an English accent, after a few days I was actually trying to whisper my order at the bar to avoid conversation.

Americans love English accents. Are you single?  Does an English accent make it easier to romance women in the United States?
