A man and a woman spend a whole afternoon to gather apricots and by the end of the day, they both have 17 apricots in total.
What are their names?

I would argue that solving these issues would be good for men as well as women. Inequalities between different groups frequently creates resentment and anger, which isn't good for either side. If you mean issues that are problems for both men and women, I would have to point to our views regarding gender roles and societal expectations for each gender. For example, unrealistic body images and the pressure for men and women to look a certain way. I could also mention issues such as job discrimination, domestic violence, bodily autonomy (circumcision would be included) and homelessness, just to name a handful. One common mistake people make when discussing activist groups is the idea that focusing on one group's inequalities somehow means that you don't care about issues effecting other groups. I am not sure how people manage to make that bizarre jump in logic but it certainly is not accurate. (May 18, 2015 at 1:19 pm)KUSA Wrote: Could you define feminism as it pertains to you? The fight for gender equality. That is feminism in a nutshell. However, I also feel that there are a lot of other issues that go hand-in-hand with feminism, such as LGBT rights. No, there isn't a fourth yet. lol The third-wave solved a lot of the problems among the second-wave feminists so I don't see any need for another. Most of the differences between these three groups are generational issues, such as transphobia. LGBT issues were still relatively new at the time so some feminists didn't really understand them. TERFs are almost nonexistent among third-wave feminists. I will say that the second and first waves seemed to agree about the issues more than we do now. This is why I laugh when anti-feminists start talking about echo chambers or how most third-wave feminists supposedly believe this or that. lol There is a tremendous amount of infighting and disagreement about the problems we face as women and how they should be solved. I would say the major difference for each movement would be: First-Wave - They had the most monumental accomplishments for women and yet they were not very inclusive. Second-Wave - The middle ground between the first and third waves. They had some major victories and were more inclusive toward racial minorities but still had issues with transgendered people. Third-Wave - We haven't had as many major accomplishments but we have the most diversity of the three waves.
Note: I was just jerking your chain about being submissive. My wife is anything but that. Hell she make more money than I do too.

Well I let my wife carry it around for me and it is ever so much more accessible that way. If anyone asked my wife for a sandwich they'd be sorely disappointed. Some of it is confusion over feminism, some is a backlash, some stems from a lack of perspective, and the rest is probably from followers of the religion known as Neckbeardism. Note: My apologies to people with beards who are not anti-feminists, anti-feminists who don't have beards, Gandalf, Obi-Wan, Abe Lincoln, and bearded dragons. The man and the woman or the apricots? I have to ask because I once drew faces on a carton of eggs and named each of them. Unfortunately, they were all brutally slain in a mass eggocide committed by my mom.
Can you say anything to debunk the popular idea that feminism stems from menstruation and a general lack of cigars.
Someone should gather data about the Ask Me Anything virus. I saw just about 2 or 3 times that it occurs on this forum. People need to start wearing protection.
