I'm asking why it was this certain case, and not any other. Why was it specifically aimed at Christians?

I have never in my life done anything as bad as that, and I am older than that religious piece of shit mentioned in the article, so I have had more time to do bad things. Frankly, he deserves to have his name dragged though the mud, and he deserves some quality time in prison. I guess you prefer it when religious criminals get away with their crimes without any public comment. Or do you just want a pass for sex criminals? Probably because in America, Christians are the ones who say that they get their absolute morality from god ... and also because this being an atheist forum, you're in the crosshairs. Like Randy defending the Catholic child-molesters, you can either defend the actions of the criminal by deflecting attention to another perceived wrongdoing, or you can condemn the actions of yet another Christian child molester, and wonder why your religion doesn't provide the moral fiber it claims to provide. Many, many folks in this world do the wrong thing. But Christians almost invariably seek to excuse the wrongdoings of fellow Christians, even as they excoriate nonChristians for their flaws. Turnabout's fair play. If you wish to argue that your faith imparts morality, you must explain the immoral acts of the faithful. And if you cannot explain their immoral acts, you ought not appeal to the moral argument when we're discussing your particular brand of deity.
We've had so many kiddie diddling priest stories, I thought we needed a little variety.
Hell, this one is even heterosexual. And NOT Catholic. Remarkable a case like this gets mentioned here, ain't it ?? And that seems to be what is happening . . . . The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
I don't excuse the wrong doings of anyone, I don't excuse the wrong doings of myself. No one is perfect, that is what I ultimately reconise.
He even admits to sex, but denies a relationship. (BTW, he's married too)
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
