#They come up with the most inane, insidious, convoluted explanations rather than admit they are wrong about something. Then they take the fact that they can always come up with such explanations as proof that their faith is unassailable.
The adage "It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt," does not occur to them as a wise policy.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
