In defense of Satan

RE: In defense of Satan
The Book of Job seems to be little more than a rip off of an ancient Akkadian text by late-coming "Jews." The Ludlul bēl nēmeqi tells the story of a guy who gets shit on by all the gods.

One suspects that "Satan" was something the "Jews" concocted after learning of the Persian Angra Mainyu in the aftermath of the Persian capture of Babylon.

@Thor
its on revelation. the future(when satan will be put into jail and the jail is the world). when did happens its rupture and so the one who stayed faithful to God will be lifted to the heavens and the one who are not will be left in the world with satan.
Revelations 14:3
3And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. (emphasize who had been redeemed from the earth)

but after the tribulation, their will be new heaven and new earth(satan is not their well i assume that his on the old one)
the one who will be in the new heaven and earth are the 144,000(some say these number is simbolical).
by the way, there is no other planet that was stated(so how should i think of jupiter or other planet)

RE: In defense of Satan
This always made me wonder.. If everything Satan is going to do is already written in revelations, and presumably Satan can read, then surely he will simply change his game-plan and do something else, or, not bother at all.

Why would he do something that he knows is going to end up pretty bad for him. And if he has no control over his actions then it all comes back to this God character punishing others for his own mistakes.

Does he not have free will then. And if he doesn't, who's will must he fulfill? If his actions are not his own then he cannot be blamed and if he is punished for someone elses actions, how is that right?

@Darwinian
(in my own opinion [cause im not a biblescholar hehe])

he has free will, but how can he maximize that free will? if your kingdom will be attacked by another kingdom you have no other option but to attack also right?

whether he ill exercise his freedom or not. whether he don't like to fulfill the prophecy. it will be fulfilled even though

in my opinion..^^

You know what Tomas Jefferson said of the book of revelations?

Quote:"It is between fifty and sixty years since I read it [the Book of Revelation], and I then considered it merely the ravings of a maniac, no more worthy nor capable of explanation than the incoherencies of our own nightly dreams ... I cannot so far respect them as to consider them as an allegorical narrative of events, past or subsequent. There is not enough coherence in them to countenance any suite of rational ideas.... What has no meaning admits no explanation.

Smart man that Jefferson.

@ minimalist
(in my opinion)
its on how we believe it.

since we are talking about satan in revelations here then we should consider revelation a fact temporarily

@aufis

lol

That's the whole point. god, satan, add nauseum are created by men.

ergo ...they are not real and unworthy of consideration.

@KichigaiNeko

"ergo ...they are not real and unworthy of consideration. "
i think its not.
You have a point.

first and for all you are in the wrong point of this thread.
if you can read the title "in Defense of Satan" by chatpilot and on what he wrote.

His reference is the bible, then we cannot consider the fact that "you" don't believe in such. still you need, temporarily you need to.
