Have you ever heard any of the Southern Baptist sermons that discussed race before the 1960's? I've never heard of Charles Carrol, but I do remember hearing about the Southern Baptists racist past I haven't personally used that argument before, though I believe I recall seeing a video of the late Christopher Hitchens in a debate where he said something along those lines RE: Ask a black atheist

Welcome from Australia matey...
Since we all know that nobody "knows" who or what God is, just curious, do the little black kiddies get shown Christian books with a black God! I fucking hope so... The last thing blacks need is to worship a stupid whit mans god!
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.
What do journalists call a black guy from the UK? (hint, it's not african-american)
Also, a little curiosity. I'm portuguese... some of my ancestors were responsible for taking african people to the americas... great for them, huh? Anyway, around here, we also have two words for the black color: preto (translates to black) and negro (translates to...errr... negro ). The curious part is that, in portuguese, the politically correct way to refer to the skin color of a black person is to call it "negro". "preto" is seen as pejorative. I went to a predominantly black christian school(a k-12 school) for my high school years and they pretty much just teach you the king jame bible like most other christian schools and churches. Yea, strangely here in america lately calling someone black as opposed to african american is politically incorrect or a perjorative like you say. I think that's just silly to be honest. I'm black(albeit light skinned) I'd expect you to call me black or african american if you prefer, it makes no difference to me. Hell you can call me nigga or negro if you like. I get annoyed at people who say "you can't call us that because slavery". I hate when people use ancestors and history as a reason why you can't use certain words. It's kinda like when at a comedy club a joke is made about a person with x disabilty and some SJW, PC police twat says no you can't say that, even though said person with disablity thought it was hilarious. Anyways lol, that's just what our society has become I guess. RE: Ask a black atheist

Are you Black black, or are you just "Dolezal black"?
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
