I estimate that of my 200-strong graduating class, about half of them made a pass at me at some point. Sadly, when I declined them, quite a few did not simply stop, with a few going so far as groping me and even one incident where a student grabbed me from behind and dry-humped me against my will. Of course, since we were both clothed when he did it (and he couldn't be bothered to pull my clothes away), I'm not sure if it technically counts as rape.

Still, I'm well aware that most gay people will at least know not to keep at it when flirting with a straight person, and likely a lot of what I had to go through was closer to prison sexuality than regular gay people, but it still brings up bad times for me.

Your experience had little to do with attraction. The bullies wanted to humiliate, degrade and have power over you. Unfortunately, although sex is wonderful, it can also be used as a weapon to hurt people. I am sorry that you experienced that.

I would be highly flattered and surprised if another woman came on to me but I have also had crushes on women. If she was willing to let my husband watch, I might consider her proposition. Of course, adding a third person into a successful marriage may or may not be disastrous and I don't know if I would want to take that risk.

By the way, Stimbo, I have seen the video of you in the thread on accents. You are a very nice looking man with a lovely accent. Don't underrate yourself.

That is not a result of their sexuality, that is a result of evolutionary bullying. Add evolutionary testosterone, hormones, and church, and a prison setting, you get social ignorance. I was bullied too, but like rape, bullying isn't about gender, it is about power and control.

I am sorry you got harassed, but again, humans don't understand in general, the difference between gender, sexuality, and issues of power and control.

Back in  the early 2000s I went to a pro choice rally in DC. Afterwords a gay couple invited everyone to their apt. Gays and lesbians and bis and straights were there. But these unfortunate hosts had a really drunk friend who grabbed my ass. I screamed at the guy, the hosts were horrified, kicked him out, apologized to me, and I said why? They didn't do it. But when you think about unwanted attention, or harassment, girls/ women go through that all the time from boys/men. That is not an issue of one's sexuality.

I live in the "gay district" of San Diego. I am hetero, and have been flirted at by several gay guys. I'm quietly flattered. Same as if some woman I wasn't interested in for whatever reason did the same. No probs. I just like the single life and have not been proven that otherwise is a great idea.

I second that Big Grin I've just found that video and you look like a lovely guy: happy, and expressive, and funny, and yes, handsome. You remind me a lot of rob actually from his vlog... you two could be brothers Wink So there's your first gay compliment too rob, I think you're handsome too Wink

At this point, I'm well aware of that. In the years since I graduated high school, I've actually met several gay people, and they at least had the sort of restraint that kept them from trying to keep at it when flirting with someone who wasn't interested.

Really, I know that painting gay people with the same brush as the guys in my high school is like claiming all straight people are like Jimmy Savile.

There must be something about me that lesbians don't find attractive though, because I have never been hit on by one. Plenty of men have hit on me, but not a single gay woman. Perhaps there is a specific trait or type of look that most lesbians generally look for that I lack?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

They may just figure you're not a lesbian! I've heard gays have this special scanning equipment. Sometimes I hear a "Beep... beep... Uhhhhhhrr!"

Then I see some guy running away from me with this contraption. Wait, none of this happened. But it could have.

I have a cousin who swore to me once that she knew automatically who was a lesbian and who wasn't so she never embarrassed herself by coming onto a straight woman.
