Favorite Guitarists

Zakk Wylde, Dimebag Darrell, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Gaines, BB King and many, many more.
I too am a blues man. Practically any of the old greats do it for me, Robert Johnson, Son House, John Lee Hooker J.B.Lenoir to name a few. If you haven't already checked it out, Martin Scorsese did his own tribute to the blues, available on dvd, featuring blues greats.
I also loved the British bands of the 60's who adopted the Blues and gave it back to the States. Clapton, Peter Green, Jeff Beck, Alexis Korner, John Male, again to name a few. I like contemporary blues too, Keb.Mo being a particular favourite. Hendrix, of course, unique! I like classical guitar as well. I love music, period!
A man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?

I would also recommend Kenny Wayne Shepherd's 10 Days Out (Blues From the Backroads). His goal was to perform with several of the oldest remaining Blues pioneers and that is just what he did. He did not try to outshine them in any way, instead he showcased them for the influential talents that they are. Several died before he could even release it. It is an historical document of the blues, with people like Pinetop Perkins, Buddy Flett, Etta Baker, etc. It's wonderful.
