Are you sick of hearing about Jesus?

Pretend they're talking about pixies.  The conversations make far more sense that way.

Do you live in Baton Rouge?  We have that here.

Every time I have done a road trip that includes a bit of the Bible belt, I see lots of crosses, often grouped in threes.  Typically, the middle one is the biggest, as if the Romans would have given Jesus a bigger cross than anyone else!  But, of course, none of it has any connection to reality.

^^^^ Was Jesus a giant or something? Why did he need a bigger cross?

No, I'm not that far South.

Apparently. Judging by the enormous crosses along I-10 in Baton Rouge, Jesus was to us like Gulliver to the Lillitputians.

And this would also be indicated by holy relics.

If you put together all the relics that are supposed to be parts of the "true" cross and the nails, there are enough parts to make a huge cross and about 30 nails.  Either he was a giant and required huge nails or they really pinned him up there...

I am tired of hearing the same old stories, particularly those that assume I've never heard it before, but Jesus can be a source of mild amusement. Whenever I have the misfortune of needing to talk to the cable company I always complain that I'm subsidizing 15 channels of Jesus and demand a monthly discount. I get a kick out of the reactions.

And yet they tied him down no problem.

Yeah, we need some new Jebus stories.

Hollywood are into the whole "reboot" thing right now.  Perhaps a Jesus reboot, set in the modern age.

Jesus comes back and starts hunting down the descendants of those who killed him.  And then he wanders the South and starts eliminating all those who do shit in his name but have apparently never read the bible.
