Atheism the unscientific belief (part one, two, and three)
RE: Atheism. The UNscientific belief (part two)
If I went to a yoga forum and wrote nothing but how much yoga sucks and how it's to do with coins, do you think they'd enjoy that?

If you have something that make sense you will be welcome but if you would post something that make no sense of course it would sucks.

Like when most atheists imagine that with the physical death is all over and other sort of imaginations?  Demon

Off to watch the grass grow.

You run too fast with your fantasy Tub.
I am not the one who claim that there is no afterlife and other similar beliefs.  Smile

Much better to have the wits to discern from careful observation of what actually are which of the "possibilities" in fact is unlikely to be.
Haven't thought of that, have you?  No?  That's for the best.  Thinking can seriously damage a non functioning nerve cluster like the one behind the thick bones of your forehead.

You are opening up an interesting topic Chuck.
It is true that what come in people mind most of the time are things not true and in other cases hallucinations but that doesn't mean that it is all bullshit.
Scientific discoveries came and will come in people mind.
Where else they should come from?
As the blood flow from the heart to all the body also the discoveries flow from the subconscious to the outer mind but to make sure that we get the real things and not hallucinations it is important to allow our mind free from dogmas.
Observation and deep thinking at the end may well get there but is all a tremendous effort that could be avoided if we let out inner self free from unsubstantiated beliefs like those that i already pointed out.
As the body need a free flow of blood through the arteries also the mind need a free flow of knowledge through the inner self.
You never thought about it Chuck, did you?  Lightbulb

The difference is knowing when there is no sound cause to think it is more than a mere hallucination, and when the rest of reality suggests it is in fact analogous to some aspect of reality.

So hallucinate that, did you? You are even hallucinating wrong.

Rik, I visited better ashrams than you. You make a mockery of what meditation and yoga are. Go directly to fail.

Tub.
I lost the count of how many times atheists claim that there is no God, that with the physical life is all over, that we got the consciousness that we got from previous generation and so on.
Are these not believes?
Are you kidding me?  Smile

I read this four times and I still don't get what you are trying to say here.

Oh, for fuck's sake. Just when I thought I'd give sobriety a try, this happens.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
