There aren't any other gods of course. But I'm just saying! If there were, don't go having them!

I'm insecure, I know.
The ancient Israelites were the most superstitious twits of all time.  They couldn't go three minutes without worshiping something.

They didn't. That's probably why it took them 40 years to cross the f-ing desert, after leaving Egypt.

It implies that they need a constant visual reminder not to murder everyone they see and steal their shit. I can remember stuff like that! Imagine a FSM commandment monument with, "Don't poke pasta up your arse! Don't cook pasta in your neighbour's duck pond! I'm serious!"

As has been pointed out, these are not even actually the 10 commandments anyway. The real ones are even less relevant.

And has there been even a SINGLE instance of US Christians advocating for a public display of the subset of the 10 Commandments their Jesus guy said really mattered ??

Jesus was asked which ones to obey, and He FAILED to list all 10.  So why are we, 2000 years later, even talking about the 10 Commandments ???

Serious question there, is there a real theist anywhere with an explanation of how Christ managed to fuck up the that question, and why all modern era Christians know better than Christ about the 10 commandments  ????

It occurs to me a coherent answer to this won't be forthcoming, but if there is, I might find myself converted . . .

Freedom of speech?  Freedom of religion? Only if it is christian.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

That's the dumbest thing I've read here in quite awhile.

You do not speak for all christians, GC. Just because you as an individual don't care about their statue, doesn't mean there aren't still plenty of christians out there trying to fuck with other people's rights. Your defense of "Psh...I don't do that" is basically meaningless. It doesn't matter that you (allegedly) don't do it, and it doesn't matter if you think the people who do are "real christians."
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)

RE: Satanic Monument
I'm still working on just what constitutes a 'real Christian'.

At first blush, I'd think disagreeing with the Godboy about anything would automatically denote NOT being a 'real Christian', but we keep finding examples of things where Jesus really needs to get behind his 'followers' because they are not acknowledging his lead at all, but they still insist on calling themselves 'Christians'.

I'd like to make sense of this, I can imagine Jesus might have some questions too . . . .

I didn't say I was speaking for all Christians, I understand there are those who would protest it and I think that's their right and fine with me, i was speaking only for myself. You on the other hand can't understand the simplest of statements or you only want to start an argument.
