False.
Powerful Religious organizations have killed those who threatened their power, which is against "Christian" teaching. Was not Jesus killed by the Jewish priests?

And once again we see Huggles is staggeringly ignorant.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Well that's true, and while others might be totally jaded on the subject, I recognize oil is necessary to drive our economy and that the price of fuel is the single largest factor in inflation. The recent downturn in fuel cost is a boon for our economy at the top (though little of it trickles down to me except that funny yellow stuff) and the glut in supply that's holding the price down is a result of the recent opec decision to keep production high, one could argue that this is a result of Obama's diplomatic efforts since Saudi Arabia is one of opecs opinion makers, and the prestige for a Saudi king having been bowed too by an american president may have bought a great deal of sway in that decision. I still find it deeply disturbing however to see a democratic president bowing to a man who would have me murdered on sight for no reason.

Hmm that's odd, I could have sworn that Islam evolved from an earlier religious belief system that dated to the Hittite civilization, but as I understand it it the earliest origins of the religion are not well known as most information we have on this period comes from Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari, who was, while an excellent historian for his time heavily biased by his own beliefs and culture and who's methods were questionable for a verity of other reasons. I suppose one could argue that Islam is the offshoot of Christendom. Perhaps I was unfairly giving Christendom the benefit of doubt and they were in fact the origin of these tactics.

Lmao now that I know the answer too because I volunteered for about four months to drive the donation pickup van for a catholic charity, the reason Christianity feeds the homeless is believe it or not, money! It's actually profitable as hell for for the churches that feed them because they have a neat little scam.

The chain starts with grocery stores and restaurants who donate food to the churches because they get a federal dollar for dollar tax break for donating to a 501c3 charity. The churches take the food their given for free and have unpaid volunteers hand it out in their churches, so the only cost to the church is the 10 or 15 cents it costs to keep the lights on while the homeless are there. Then church leaders take photos and videos of the volunteers feeding the poor and use them to solicit donations from the public, who assume their paying for the food they hand out rather than getting it for free.

It's pure cheddar for the church leaders.

I  don't doubt it, one need only listen to them speak to see their dying to go back to extreme violence, just read my sig.
