You sure it's not just humanity that's dying out and the universe will inevitably carry on as normal?

Anyway, it does not matter if the universe ends or not. People get upset over nothing. I hope it's just humanity that's dying out, because I'm ok with that. Another humanoid type of beings may very well evolve again after hundreds of thousands of years and start again, but what's the chance of that happening with no universe? Unless another big bang happens. But that's a lot more effort. At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
Meh I think they know too little and assume too much.
Define "too little"
One has to remember that not all of the Universe can actually be observed and as time advances that less and less of it will be since it is
expanding away from here in all directions beyond the speed of light [ this does not violate general relativity as it applies to the Universe itself rather than some phenomena within it which would be a violation of g r ] And so there will therefore come a point then at which no stars will be visible in this local region of space at all. But that will be academic because by then the Earth will have been atomised by the Sun after it goes red giant expanding as far as Mercurys orbit. The mysterious force causing this expansion is dark energy but that is just a placeholder until it can be determined what it actually is. One thing however is known about it : it has the properties of repulsive gravity A MIND IS LIKE A PARACHUTE : IT DOES NOT WORK UNLESS IT IS OPEN
A MIND IS LIKE A PARACHUTE : IT DOES NOT WORK UNLESS IT IS OPEN
Dark Energy could just be a cosmological constant and equivalently, constant vacuum energy. That's by far the most straightforward explanation, and almost unavoidable. In that case, adios universe, we barely knew thee.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Well about fucking time. Now about that new Tool album.....
