Truth be told,i did get depressed after i figured out God wasn't real because i felt like i had nothing more to live for.
Through time i found purpose in my life and now am happier than ever. Smile

I think that is pretty normal.  Everyone I know in real life who is a former Christian felt that way about it.

I never gone through a 'depressed' or 'sorrow' stage during transition. Maybe if I wasn't told God would send me to hell if I didn't do X all my life I would've been sadder at his nonexistence, but as it stands, I'm pretty okay with it.

Absolutely. There certainly is the way things stand. I believe in a real, physical world alright, but statements regarding those things? Their truth is not only contingent upon the way things actually stand in the world but on the adequacy of language to capture important aspects of those things. I think descriptions of reality are always incomplete and filtered by the language. Statements are never 'absolute'. Therefore truth cannot be either.

Exactly.  Unfortunately for you my statement doesn't leave room for its negation or any other statement to be absolute.
