Because He is the creator, He can't do things that are against who He is that would be sin and God can't sin.

His inability to change who he is doesn't make him less of a psycho. Maybe makes him more pitiable. Like a rabid dog you need to put down, because there's no way to cure it.

I was stunned at how ridiculous Mormonism is when I heard about it, but really once you're past a certain point, the details don't matter. In fact, I think religions are required to be past that crazy post. Anything less and people get bored, or can actually understand it and analyse it, which is no good.

One of my childhood friends became a Mormon because of the girl he was with in high school.  Damn shame.  He was/is a cool guy, but that shit's about as wacky as Scientology.

Intellectual suicide over a girl. I hope for his sake that she was one damn fine piece of ass.

I was taught to question so that I could find the truth, it's not necessary to question everything, but it is necessary to question things that do not seem right or one doesn't understand. That is if one wants to learn, which I have always wanted to do.

Too bad the lesson didn't sink in.

who said anything about voices in my head? Are you afraid to ask a question who's answer you will not be able to respond to with a off the shelf atheist remark?

You believe you're hearing the voice of God. I don't believe god exists. Therefore, I don't believe the voice exists. Apparently, we'll just have to agree to disagree on this point.  UNTIL you can prove to me that something ONLY YOU heard, or felt, or sensed, or whatever, actually happened, and came from a source outside of your physical self.  Which would be really interesting.   That proof cannot come from argument, it will have to come from medical machines.

There are more threads, and posts I've done on the topic but these two kind sum everything up.

Damn.
I actually followed those links, thinking that there MIGHT be something of value and interest there.   SILLY ME.
More stories.  Paragraph after paragraph of word-salad, more "experiences" that "prove" the existence of gawd.

More reasonable atheist responses followed them that tried to explain why these subjective experiences and unverifiable tales are NOT PROOF.
Obviously the message did not take.

oh and . . . no, that proof cannot come from argument.  It going to have to come from medical machines.

ROFLOL

If this were true all of "science" would be in trouble. Because all "proof" starts as an arguement. Most of it never gets any further than that

I guess you didn't actually read what was on those links out side of an effort to identify and dismiss. Because at the end I point out that those experiences are not unique to me, but offered to anyone who will a/s/k as I did.
