The apostles!
It seems a certain scheme got rammed into your brain somehow to never leave. So if you belief Dawkins is god and Hitchens and Harris are apostles, than tell me, who's belief is it?
And if you would stop to ask me how I see this, you might find that:
I don't belief that Richard Dawkins is a god or has supernatural powers of any kind.
Harris and Hitchens are humans with argumented opinion, but not apostles of some divine message.
So, proclaiming that is just your belief, not mine.
You can have your own petty illogical beliefs for all I care, but you can't claim to know what I believe in contradiction to what I report on that I belief. So please engage in your folly that Dawkins is some god but be prepared to eat your own straw man.

Perhaps the problem is this: for AngelThMan truth is absolute, revealed truth. Truth that is contingent, based on experimental investigation and represents a 'best available model' simply doesn't qualify.
He therefore mistakes our atheism and belief in science as somehow equivalent to his belief in god and the bible. Atheism becomes a religion; Dawkins becomes a prophet.
Which is absurd, of course. But then he's demonstrated repeatedly that he isn't very smart, so what should we expect?
He who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

I don't know about you guys, but I didn't pay my membership fee this month, I think I might be at risk of losing my Atheism badge. I sent Dawkins an email, but his second in command got back to me and said if I don't make my payment by the 30th, I should just go ahead and start believing in God.

You hit the nail on the head, Caecilian. Religious believers are not satisfied with anything less than absolute truth:
- They wanna know NOW who made this all, even if it's the wrong question.
- They wanna know NOW what is their purpose in life, even when they are free to decide on that themselves.
- They wanna know NOW who is gonna be the final judge they can rely on, even when judgement on human behaviour has no absolutes.
- They wanna know NOW who created life even when they stumble over million years old fossils in musea that tell the story of nature.
It's this childish anthropomorph urge to satisfy knowledge the cheap way that drives 'm away from real answers. It's what drives 'm into the arms of prophets, claimers of absolute truth, dogma and fabulation. And though they nowadays rely on science in every aspect of their daily life, they flat out deny the picture that emerges from science. They want free lunch and they want it NOW.
