I met him, twice. Once at a book signing at Waterstones in Birmingham and some years later at the NEC alongside Nicholas Courtney. The latter turned into a music hall skit.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

The only 'famous' person I've ever met is Darth Vader. I refuse to count Fern Britton as famous...

I met Craig Charles once, I went to a standup when he came to my university. It was great!

I know, I've just discovered one in Brighton as well
Brighton is do able by train and car much easier than the London one, when is it?

I once spent a whole day with Gary Wilmott.
I was on a work experience thing for a company and he was the entertainment at our works fete, I was his goffer for the day along with the other trainees.

My wife walked directly into Keith Harris. The Orvill Guy in Fareham shopping precinct. Almost knocked him over.
Oh and I've met Camilla Parker-Bowles (Windsor) when she came to my work, my picture got in one of the naval magazines because I happened to be beside her when they took the photo.

I upset Carla Lane once. We were at some donkey sanctuary somewhere that she's the patron of, and I was queuing with friends at one of the tents. I had no idea why until after. There was a trestle table and a sign reading something like "Carla Lane says stop cruelty to donkeys", whereupon I said a little too loudly "someone needs to stop Carla Lane". In the sudden frozen silence, I became aware that the person sitting right in front of me and no more than a foot away was the lady herself, signing autographs. She pretended not to have heard me and carried on smiling, but it was rather a tight smile.

I once met Miriam Stoppard. I went to school with her son, a boarder. When she came to collect him at the end of one term, I was introduced to her and she asked if I'd like an autograph. I said "Nah".

So... are we any closer to arranging something? Is everyone happy going to a comic con, if we can just agree on which one?
