States in the US legalized gay marriage long before the UK did. My apologies then. It just seemed oddly specific. Why the U.K. specifically? RE: What's it Like for Gays and Atheists in the UK?

The place itself does not interest me as much as the fact that they are there. I'd also be interested in knowing about Australia, since I know someeone who lives there, too.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers. Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities. --Voltaire Nietzsche isn't dead. How do I know he lives? He lives in my mind. Mostly it's pretty much a non-issue. You do get the occasional arsehole and groups of arseholes who get all uppity, but they tend to not have media support like they do in the US. Their arseholeness is widely accepted. You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. Tinkety Tonk and down with the Nazis.
Hey UK people.
I've got limited UK religion education/experience. Most of my perceptions come from the Vicar of Dibley. HAH! Wish we had that outlook in the US. Soooo........... what are your views/opinions on the religious disputes in Northern Ireland? Most of what I've seen/heard may have been tainted by the US media.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

A lot of Yanks exacerbated the problem by donating to the IRA thinking they were jolly Irishmen with green hats and pots of golds, though. Love atheistforums.org?
