I'm late to the party here, lkingpinl, let me just add that I am impressed as how strong a person you've come out of this, and I tend to agree with those who think that you will today be much better equipped to deal with this than you might think. Evaluate the impact on your wife and children, and how you will perceive this in the long run, and decide.

Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. Well quick update. Met with Investigators this morning for about 3.5 hours. We reviewed everything they have in the case files and they took a couple of sworn statements. They are not pursuing the homicide charge, only the CSC charges. They are drafting the indictment and will be formally filing sometime next week. It was surprisingly not as difficult as I envisioned in my head. Glad I went through with it. It's really just beginning but so far I feel pretty good. Appreciate everyone's support here!
