Yes.  I prepared myself for it pretty well and it went smoother than I thought and I know I would have regretted not being there.  He made no comments, made no eye contact, just accepted his punishment and was taken away and that was it.  Huge relief.

I figured that's why you had to take off for awhile. Deeply Serious Stuff requires a lot of focus, there's not always room for much outside of the crucial stuff (family, job, etc.). 

Glad things went smoother than you thought they would.

There was that and another unexpected thing that has caused a lot of turmoil, but we are rebounding from it and will be stronger because of it.
