Critics angrily complained that police had targeted African-American youths, enticing the youngsters by leaving an untended and unlocked truck full of valuable sneakers out on a public roadway. Officials countered that the sting targeted no one other than thieves in general, that the truck was locked and required considerable effort to break into, and that perpetrators couldn’t have known the truck contained Nikes until after they broke in and began ransacking it.

So let me get this straight. These cops bought a truck full of expensive shoes... To use them as bait for poor people so they could arrest them. So this is how pigs solve crime: sweeping it under the money-making rug of for-profit prisons. They could have used that money to help these people through their hardships, but no. The poor are subhuman filth and as such they must be treated.

“The Chicago Police Department admits that it can’t solve murders and violent crimes because communities of color don’t trust the Chicago police,” Sheley said. “These stunts won’t help.”

And part of me thinks that they don't want to actually solve crime...

Not to mention the fact that the prison system is already over crowded enough as it is.

I remember when I was a kid, and heard my parents talk about overpopulated prisons, and their recommended solution was to just execute more people. Of course then I grow up and learn a lot of people are in prison for minor stuff, or because they have mental problems and should be in a different place entirely. This country is so messed up.

Be careful about mentioning prisons being full. There was a Judge Dredd story (which was originally written as a parody of American society and violent cop movies), in which their prison were full so a directive was sent out to increase shoot-to-kill powers).

Thirty years ago people may have laughed at such a lydicrous concept. They wouldn't be laughing if they saw American "policing" now...

Drunken NYC cop unleashes racist terror on black family after mistakenly barging into their home

Nashville police confirmed the New York City Police Department officer returned for questioning earlier this month, but no charges have been filed in the investigation, which remains ongoing.

I wonder if the pigs could have thought of some charges if it was a black guy breaking into a white home?  Would they have even bothered with something as mundane as "charges" and gone straight for their guns?

So much for pigs investigating pigs.

St. Louis cop breaks black man’s jaw over loud music — and threatened to crack it again over lawsuit

A St. Louis police officer broke a black man’s jaw with a flashlight during a violent arrest over a noise violation and threatened to crack it again if he sued, according to a federal lawsuit.

The lawsuit filed by lawyers for 24-year-old Jamal White earlier this month in U.S. District Court accuses Officer Adam Feaman of using excessive force during the Aug. 14, 2017, arrest caught on video, reported the Riverfront Times.

Misconduct reports — obtained by activist Samuel Sinyangwe and Campaign Zero and shared with the Grassroots Accountability Movement — show Feaman has faced numerous complaints over his treatment of young black men.
A 22-year-old black man filed a complaint in 2010 accusing Feaman of using racial slurs against him during a traffic stop, and the next year another 22-year-old black man complained he planted drugs on him before another officer hit him in the face.
A 21-year-old black man filed a complaint in 2012 accusing Feaman of punching him in the face, and two years later a 31-year-old black man accused him and other officer of stealing $400 from his car during a traffic stop.

Connecticut cops arrest man on hate crime charges for smashing a police cruiser window with a brick

A Connecticut police department is arguing that attacks against officers count as a hate crime after a man threw a brick through a cruiser window and reportedly said he “hates white cops.”

The Hartford Courant reported that 20-year-old Devon Adams-Almstad was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, assault on police, reckless endangerment, hate crime and breach of peace after throwing the brick that narrowly missed an officer’s head and left him with cuts from the window’s broken glass.

Lucky for him he was white.... or they would have charged him with attempted murder, terrorism, and shot him on sight.
