Since April, four people have died in the Milwaukee County Jail overseen by Sheriff David Clarke, a fixture in right-wing media and avid supporter of President-elect Donald Trump. And these deaths appear to have been preventable: one man died of thirst. Another was a newborn baby. When Shadé Swayzer asked for help because she was going into labor, she claims in a lawsuit that jail staff laughed at then ignored her. Her baby died.

“After January 20, 2017, Sen. Jeff Sessions will become the new Attorney General of the US Department of Justice. He will take the partisan politics out of decision making at DOJ,” the statement read. “The Sheriff looks forward to working with the NEW administration in Making America Great Again!”

In any case, however prodigious your effort, however steady your aim...you're just one man.  Cops, of late (hell, it's most likely been this way for all of time...we just keep better records nowadays), are an occupying army.  Whatever they might lack in regards to you individually they make up for in teamwork and solidarity of purpose.

Chicago police brass defended Laquan McDonald shooting after seeing video, records show

Ferguson concluded that police made false statements and found that at least one officer engaged in a "code of silence," an unwritten rule that officers should lie to protect a colleague, investigation records show. He also found that the video contradicted official police accounts of McDonald's shooting and that officers exaggerated the threat posed by McDonald.
"The video footage of the shooting shows that, before Van Dyke shot McDonald, McDonald was walking away from Van Dyke ... " according to one of the inspector general's findings. "It shows that McDonald did not raise the knife he was holding over his shoulder, did not swing the knife toward the officers in an 'aggressive' manner, nor did he raise his arm toward Van Dyke as if attacking Van Dyke."
Ferguson also found that — despite what officers wrote — the video shows that McDonald fell to the street after being shot and was not trying to get up.
