Arrested, then let out on $500. Yeah, not horribly surprised. For some reason we're more lenient on people we hand out guns to, instead of the other way around.
Though maybe the cops that arrested him didn't know he was a cop. Like when you hear stories about a black cop getting shot while off duty. Once they found out he was a cop, they let him out of jail.

I would imagine a year and a half to "investigate" and then quietly give the cop a promotion and hope every one forgot about it because of more current atrocities that the pigs are doing.

These people sued ,awarded 4.7 million, half a million of that has to come from COP. Maybe this is the start of something good. Maybe cop will think twice fearing he will have to pay out of his own pocket if he loses judgment.

Sadly, I don't think those people will ever see the cop's portion of their settlement. This country has no debtor's prison laws.

In civil lawsuits in California, the home owner's insurance is sometimes attacked. That's what a friend of mine did when a gang of guys jumped his son. He sued the thug's parents, and the home owner's insurance paid out.

They may never get all of it but I think they will get some of it. He will be in debt for years and years.
