I'm all for a law where the "guardians of the law" are sentenced far more severely than the average cit for violating the law.

The trouble isn't (just) that they aren't sentenced more severely (and they sometimes are)...the trouble is the rate at which they're sentenced...if anything ever goes to a trial in the first place. We're not handing out mulligans..we're telling cops that they can proceed directly to go .
