If it was me, I'd be pissed off.  If you suspect I was being offensive with something I said, ask me about it.  Don't go making a public specetacle about it when you can get the meaning straight from the horse's mouth, even if you don't mention my name.  That's one of my pet peeves.  It's like the guy at work that has a problem with you and goes to the boss with his grievances instead of just talking you directly about it.

When I read the line I thought of Stiller and Meara. (I love their schtick, but I realize it's not for everyone)

And not enough context to know how the TS should react to it.
 The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Won't do it again. I really wasn't trying to be hurtful or unfair to the person. Triple unfair because he is married so we can't kiss and make up.
