Dear Christians

RE: Dear Christians
I agree, saint worship and even rosaries are strange to me and almost idolic in nature. I think what it's an attempt to do is Go back to the old jewish custom of having a medium between God and God's people. Jesus clearly abolished that when he ripped down the curtain though, idk they do it, I'll ask my catholic God-mother.
"There ought to be a term that would designate those who actually follow the teachings of Jesus, since the word 'Christian' has been largely divorced from those teachings, and so polluted by fundamentalists that it has come to connote their polar opposite: intolerance, vindictive hatred, and bigotry." -- Philip Stater, Huffington Post

RE: Dear Christians
There is a movement that has been growing quickly here calling themselves The Universal Church, when I was an evangelist I went to one of their meeting to recon the group and inform myself. What I discovered is that they like to use alot of props to supposedly awaken faith or aid your faith. They hand out salt to purge your wallets of whatever it is holding you back from prospering lol, holy roses that are supposed to vanquish any evil presences or influences in your home, and they also give you water from the river Jordan (probably more like the toilet bowl) for you to pour over yourself in the shower or bath. Too funny in my opinion and it appeared to me like a mix of Christianity and some sort of white magic.

Sounds very much like paganism to me CP. What a bunch of fools!

A salt and vinegar bath is very good for your skin. Salt itself is excellent for rebalancing your electrolytes. And Roses and their perfume DO lift and relax the spirit when ever they are around.

Sounds like a bit of fundemental naturopathy mixed with a bit of aromatherapy to me.

It looks more like christians (and jews for that matter) are treading in a grey area and praying they are right. It could be looked at as an Idol even if it is of your god or has somthing to do with your god it clearly says thou shalt not make image or likeness of anything... From the reading of the commandment if you some how met god and took a picture then made a statue of HIM/HER/IT you would still be in violation....

But then again lucky for you it's just all made up.....

Just proof positive that the Judaic/ Islamic / Christian faith is a load of superstitious make believe, where you get to "cherry pick" what suits you. Funny sort of god in my opinion, sounding more and more like a politician than anything else. Devil

So I wonders...Thinking
"Is Judaic/ Islamic/ Christianiy humanity's first attempts at democracy?? And nothing more?? If so then all the wars that were fought in it's name would make sense as they are STILL being fought today (2000 years after the fact)

ROFLOL If that is the case!!

Watson, my son, do not fret these atheists as I know you did not make those graven images in your possession.

Some sweatshop in china did and you merely purchased them. You're off the hook.

Now, as far as that 'spilling your seed' thing. Can't let that one go, you should know this from the story of Onan. So depart from me ye cursed, ye never knew me.

Off to Hell with ye.
I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.

It has come to my attention that most of you have no Idea what your holy book says, and those that do IGNORE parts or do mental gymnastics that would put an olympic gold medal gymnist to shame in order to justify it to themselves. Here at my desk I have 2 bibles KJV and NIV and according to these so called holy books if you wear or own a Crusifix you are in direct violation of the 2nd commandment. Its not like its some obscure commandment its number TWO and you peeps cant even get it right......

Xyster seems to me that you did not read the entire second commandment yourself. You are cherry picking to ridicule christians. There are three verses that make up the second commandment the 2nd verse of the commandment gives meaning to the 1st verse. Others have already tried to explain this to you but you ignor what has been stated by them so you can run down christians. Please study scripture before you quote it . If one were to take only the 1st verse of the second commandment then art would be sinful and because artistic talent was given to man by God that would make the second commandment a contradiction. However the 2nd verse explains we are not to worship art, so art in itself is not sinful unless it is used that way (worship, pornography and ect.).
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Well Islam went with "nothing" in their interpretation. So it's the way of the skull cap for you m'lad Wink

It's an open accusation of Catholicism, which every time I've attacked them over it, they've successfully defended. What we're speaking of here is the incorrect interpretation of some individuals. It's not a grey area. The Christian position on it is quite clear.
