Sometimes about parrots. They fascinate me, always have. I love my rescue bird, I marvel at his intelligence but most people could give a shit less about birds and assume they aren't worthwhile animals since they aren't furry Sad They can talk endlessly dogs, but bring up my bird... No one cares and gets annoyed because an animal with the intelligence of a toddler is o-so-boring and *obviously* just sits in a cage and sings all day (like a feathered decoration!). Ugh. Thankfully, my husband is quite enamored with my bird too because he's so smart and social.

Never let a rambler near a parrot. Then you have two of them. FUCK.

For others' sake, they are probably glad I don't have a parrot. lol.

Yes.

I'm usually quiet unless I feel comfortable with someone anyway, but if you get me going about music or history -- or sometimes politics -- it's as Ma Thump used to say, "vaccinated with a phonograph needle."

Usually if someone starts talking about their religion, I try to walk away, but if someone starts talking bad about religion.. I'm sure we'd be able to talk a loooooonnnggg time.

I can't talk about religion much because I'm surrounded by christians, but when I start going off about it to my brother or something, I try to stop, but sometimes it's quite hard.

Music, movies, and T.V. shows at times too, but only when other people want to talk about them. I can talk with you quite awhile if we have some similar interests in those categories.
Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.' -Isaac Asimov-

Sometimes. This is, by the way, very typical of people with Asperger's.

Once went out for dinner with 2 other polite couples. One couple brought a harmless friend along. Well no-one got a word in! She was a born again JW. Fucked the whole evening up for everyone!
Went home disgusted at how rude she was.... Irrespective of subject matter.
