Nah... God is just a made up guy in the sky. Are your dreams shattered?
Shes going to die and she has no idea how to handle it. People will grasp at anything near the end.
It doesn't mean anything, its just posturing. Her faith is a paper shield, an ineffective barrier to conceal the truth from herself. Loved ones will find it equally ineffective for numbing the pain when shes gone but they'll keep up appearances. They'll cling to her memory, then the memory of the memory and then nothing. Her words will fade, as will mine, as will yours. Theres no story here, this happens everyday.
"That is not dead which can eternal lie and with strange aeons even death may die."
- Abdul Alhazred. Quote:We're making a lot of unjustified assumptions about her thought process here. We have no evidence she didn't seek treatment. She has sought treatment. The article makes clear that the problem is that she aged out of her parent's health insurance plan on the day she got her diagnosis. Quote:However, Vuaghan has been dropped by her parents’ insurance and she is ineligible for Sooner Care, the state’s Affordable Care Act (ACA)-mandated low cost provider. She has missed this year’s open enrollment for private insurance, which resumes on January 1, days after the surgeon has said that Vaughan will die of her tumor if not treated. She is the victim of a bureaucratic issue and god is helpless against any bureaucracy. RE: Sounds to Me Like God Said

People's beliefs don't live in a vacuum. Their beliefs inform their actions. The less one's beliefs accurately map to reality, the more likely they are to make bad decisions. And, way too often, those bad decisions effect other people. You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence. I was speaking in general terms...that's why I used the term 'if and when' and 'anyone' instead of she in my post above. Your previous post clearly refers to her. Unless you have a habit of suddenly and inexplicably referring to unknown females in the middle of conversations. And neither did I suggest there was a problem with discussion. So I guess I'm wondering what in the world you're going on about.
The real thing to puke over is someone left to die because there's no more money to be made. Healthcare shouldn't be a commodity in a civilized nation. And that's putting it mildly. Got no dime, so die in the streets, is one of the most barbaric things I can imagine.

I'm wondering what you're going on about, bringing up shit from almost two weeks ago.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
