Israelis want control of all Jerusalem. And when they do, it'll be so easy for them to build their temple. If they really cared about the security of Israel they wouldn't bully Palestinians to they extent that they do. When somebodies friend or family member dies they seem to expect the person not to be angry.

There are millions of crazy Americans who blindly support Israel because of what their Bibles say will happen if they do. They would love to see the Dome of the Rock destroyed. They want they End Times to come. Not sure if this is really relevant, but: There are loads of people who believe Mahdi is the anti-Christ. Just take a search "Mahdi is anti-Christ". Americans always seem to conveniently forget that millions of Arabs, especially Palestinians and Syrians, are actually Christians.

It makes sense, since Arabs are viewed by extremist Jews as the "invaders" of the original kingdom. Sadly enough, lots of Jews fell victim to Zionism, and didn't care enough to read their Tulmud to see that the land is forbidden for them to reside in.

America was always Zionist. even Muslims believe in the return of the Jews in the end times (it's mentioned in the Quran). But acting to let the prophecy come true is pure madness..madness that Britain started to honor an agreement, yet the U.S carried out from a deep religious foundation engulfed in the Christian culture of the country.

I read before about "Mehdi is anti-christ" but I never gave it lots of attention. I never thought America was that deep into Zionism.

Though I saw videos of politicans from the republican party, in zionist lectures, politicans who were in the presidential race..

Ultimately, all Arab/Israeli problems exist because there are some annoying people, and that's putting it terribly mildly, who want to build this on the site of the Dome of the Rock. They will ultimately build their temple and absolutely nothing will happen as a result. And all of the wars and deaths will be for nothing. Let's stop bullying the Arabs by supporting oppressive governments.

It is a side reason, MNMP. In other words you can't consider it a main "reason". I mean, it's insulting to utter levels, at least to Arabs.

This is as similar to demolishing the Roman Catholic Church in Europe then replace it with a huge mosque covered in Arab decorations. Even to a European non-Christian nationalist, such act would be "stepping on the sovereignty of the land".

To many Palestinians, this is what is left out of their dear old Palestine : this mosque. If it's demolished, and replaced with a Jewish temple, I expect something else would happen. Something like a war between the Palestinians residing in the city and the Jews, and it will never end until one part is totally annihilated. With the brutality we saw the IDF use against civilians in Gaza, you can expect a bloodbath.
