OK. So if I'm yahweh, you want me to quote bits of the bible first? And then die? Didn't I already die and come back, if I'm Yahweh/Jesus?
You want me to do it again?
How can Yahweh prove to you that he is indeed Yahweh, if he's right in front of you? That's the question, if you're going with him.

If I was, I would find this lack of faith disturbing. Mightily.

Indeed! This is one of the points of the thread really.
Theists do have access to scepticism, generally. As soon as I mention I might be god, it goes through the roof.
The other point is to find out how theists know they are communicating with god and not some rubbish minor deity or an alien. You'd want to be sure if you're basing your life around it, yeah?
Alpha has admitted he can't tell god isn't an alien. I find that very honest, and interesting.

Fucking hell, I'm god, and I'm here talking to myself.
There's going to be some random natural disasters attributed to me in the next 50 years, you wait and see. I used to have really good aim and could act instantly. But we all feel the ageing process.

It's pretty simple ignoramus, and the rest of the folks.
Before reading the book, any of the books, the logic of the person should aim to God.
Do you imagine your God, as a "Rob" ? your standards are so low then, with all apologies to rob, but I mean he has every reason to be despised, he sleeps, he eat, he dies...etc.
Did you get, how the claim is disproved ? we tested "Rob's" lifecycle against reality and it simply didn't survive.
When it comes to the deiety I worship, he sent a book, it contained a message. I took that message, tested it, then I realized he is God : it didn't break against reality.
