Plenty? Some people here do admit they are depressed or were depressed in the past and that is just human nature: sometimes you're sad and sometimes you're happy.
Now, of course, being depressed is a taboo in religions. Like Scientologists constantly spy on each other to see if they're smiling all the time and if they're not then they get reported and punished. I also see many religious people here (if not majority) delve deep into fantasy world like believing ancient primitive people built portals to another dimensions, or believe world is flat or 6 day creation etc. which are symptoms of serious mental problems and escape from obviously harsh reality that they can't handle.
Your best reference is Scientology?

I will say this...
I've said right from the beginning that my depression and my atheism are two totally unrelated things. I've been very clear about that. I don't know about anyone else but I don't appreciate my personal tragedy being weaponised against me.
I'll be honest with you, Huggy. I really wish I lived in the world as you imagine it. I honestly wish it was that simple, to just write off the cause of my depression as not believing in a god. Things would be so much easier. "Hey, are you depressed? Suicidal? You need new, improved Pray-Away, with the super-active ingredient Goddo! If symptoms persist, just pray harder, you heathen!"
Wow, if I could do that don't you think for a nanosecond I'd swallow anything you spewed up?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I'm not sure that the man who just told us that the tower of babel was not only real..but the tip of the spear of an interdimensional invasion force..has much room to scoff at scientology.
In any case..sure..sure. Some atheists are depressed...and some theists are also depressed...but you're fucking insane Huggy. On balance, I'd rather be depressed, lol.

The main thing I am depressed about is how much ignorance and superstitions run this world.

Let's think about that. How much time do I have to spend grovelling to an imaginary fairy in the sky? Zero.
And am I required to abase my self at the altar of who in the what now? No.
And do I spend any time worrying about thought crimes? None.
And how much time do I spend worrying about an eternity of punishment in a celestial North Korea? Fuck all.
Tell me again just what it is that I have to be jealous of?

Odd. He didn't mention god at all. Why do you suppose that might be?

I got to admit it atheists do seem to be more serious than religious people. Just look at this comparison:
Theists are smiling while atheist is very serious.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

You realize this was a theoretical calculation based *solely* on the shape, size, and composition of the pyramid, right? It was specifically looking at resonant phenomena, which are based on shape and size.
This is hardly the result of high technology on the part of the Egyptians. ANY simple figure in anything roughly like a lens shape (a pyramid qualifies) will focus E&M radiation for some part of the spectrum.

First of all genius, we don't even know how the pyramids were built, so what qualifies anyone to say what they did or didn't know?
Second of all look up Coral Castle.
The guy who single-handedly built that (which required cutting, moving and erecting stone up to 30 tons form a quarry 10 miles away overnight) claimed he used the same technology used in building the pyramids.

Then explain why the same isn't said of the other pyramids?
