No.  Believe what you want, but that's not what I meant.  What does the user manual say abut me snuffing out the world?

Whatever you mean by that, but I rather take my chances with my little contributions to better this world than hoping for some saviour.

I see what you mean about snuffing it. I thought you meant snuffing out the world. Like I said, following Christ does make the world better here. And we are to try to improve the world for others too. Problem is we can't fix the world. We've been trying for what - about a million years? We need God.

I'm not going after people loving each other.  Tell me who loves each other, that I'm going after, and I'll let you know if you're right or not, because I don't know who it is.  In fact, how do you know?

I like the fact that in a world that stinks, we can have joy, hope and direction, knowing that the future is bright.  It's also a good guide for my life here in this world.

Disagree:  the world doesn't stink.

Agree:  we can certainly have joy, hope and direction.

Disagree:  I wouldn't call the future bright, but then I set the bar high, predicated on the vitality of a wide spectrum of life forms.

Agree:  if you find your religious beliefs a good guide for your life in the world, I have no basis to disagree.

I'm sure thinking it is true must be right up there.  (I'm not going to even mention confirmation bias.  Damn.)  But I wonder when you sit back and count your riches, what exactly does your god belief contribute to your good life?  

(For those of you accustomed to finding polls in my threads .. next time for sure!)

Gives me a deeper understanding of the world around me and the meaning of life.
