Finally watching this week's Real Time. About to take it to the sack.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I finally was able to admit to myself today that I have been feeling rather depressed about Offline problems. I knew I was demotivated and procrastinating about it all but I was finally able to admit to myself how despondent I have been feeling about it after opening up to Losty and Steelcurtain in the Skype Room today.
I don't know what I would do without my friends. I love my friends. P.S. If I haven't seemed myself at all and seemed a little offhand or blunt lately I apologize.
I'm very sorry you're feeling depressed, but it's a positive step that you've identified it. Let me know if I can help in any way

Ditto what Rob said. I'm always around, too. And by always, I mean half the week when I don't have the kids. And after work. Heh. Hope you get better soon! Muah!

It's catch 22. Being demotivated makes me more likely to procrastinate, procrastinating lets things build up on top of me and things building up on top of me makes me more demotivated. I sometimes wonder if after being misdiagnosed with a specific mood disorder for 7 years and then told I was fine and am just atypically vulnerable to stress induced breakdowns -- I sometimes wonder if I do have a mood disorder maybe just not the one they think I did. But it could be I just have a very up and down temperament. I think once I have dealt with my practical problems I will feel a lot better. If I still worry like fuck and get demotivated even when my life is fine I will go see a doctor about it.
Attacking small problems is a good confidence-builder for attacking big problems. Just like any workout, warm up first. You'll get there, bud.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie |
