Having said that... I hate. I don't hate anyone in particular (except my neighbors), but I feel hateful right now. But not.
I'm trying. (deleted a whole paragraph here)
Last week my sister was given some info about something I did a while back. It was so embarrassing for her to know this. Her husband also knows. Details were communicated. Details. Brother in law is the one that found out by chance. Or a drunk old friend with a big mouth. Also, she (my sister) was the only person in my family who I hadn't told about my sexuality. It was a work in progress due to her barely evolving (she used to be a pastor). Someone ratted me out. I will never be the one to tell her.
And last, but certainly not least. I saw someone from my past. This someone has been like a ghost I almost learned to ignore. He's a bad person and used blackmail to keep me from pressing charges against him a long time ago. He's in town. I saw him. He didn't see me. Small town. He probably did. Maybe not. Maybe yes. Fuck.
So that my friend is my negativity rant.
Now for the positive one:
I LOVE my friends, my family. I'm lucky. Oh so fucken lucky for so much patience. I don't deserve it. I don't. Shut up, Rob. I don't. :
Thank you for everything. Also, I'm about to have a beer.
Hold on sis, we'll get you through this I'm here for you and thinking of you always. It's horrible that this bastard has gone and upset things for you and ruined your plan to tell your sister yourself.
I hope this person you saw keeps away from you. We love you too Ivy, you're absolutely wonderful, and I'll always be here when you need me
Look after yourself bestie You deserve happiness.

I haven't a clue what you've done, so I'll just assume.
You've unleashed a horde of zombie Trumps on the world, haven't you young lady?
I got a new job. And though it's totally worth it for the pay, but it's occasionally horrifically disgusting. On top of that with my surgery just 4 weeks ago and my having fibro and other pain causing issues and I just started dropping my fentanyl dosage it can be very physically painful. Again...the pay is great so I have no business complaining but it hurts my body.

Brother is driving me fucking crazy.
He's had his headphones "stolen", which probably just means he's lost them. So what does he do? Go buy a new pair? Fuck no, that involves getting a job and making some money.
He's going to take mine I literally just paid for and refuse to give them back so he doesn't have to "go without". Why the fuck am I paying for his inability to hold onto anything he owns?
I need him to get it the fuck together for an 18 year old grown man almost. When we have Mom's boyfriend in our house slagging him off for being "lazy" (hypocritically, because like I said yesterday this boyfriend is lazy as fuck himself), I want to disagree with him. I want to make it easy for Mom to see us as more trustworthy than him. But my brother just isn't fucking helping himself and I'm getting sick of him and his self-indulgent "anxiety", and complete lack of willingness to improve.
And that's another thing, it was "anxiety" when he didn't want to walk across a hotel cafeteria on his own to get some food in Malta, but here in our home city he can (alone) go jump on any bus and ride around the West Midlands to go see his friends. Full of shit.
Fuck my dysfunctional family. I want to leave and speak to none of them again apart from Mom.

Feeling good.
Due to a new job and rather significant workload and resulting stress, I've been feeling somewhat lethargic off work for the last year, having no energy to do things that requires planning and significant physical excursion beyond routine stuff like hitting the gym and doing normal maintenance and improvements around the house.
But made a point to plan a good hiking/camping/photography trip with best friend from college, so I am making sure all my camping gear and supplies, and photographic equipment, are in order. Going on a week long hiking/camping/photography trip in northern CA in 2 weeks. Now need to get the big stuff packed and then mail them to a nearby relative to avoid airline bag check charges.
Mere Physical excersion as in hitting the gym maybe necessary, but puts nothing into perspective. Having down time to do outdoor and creative endeavors is a necessary part of life.

Feeling good that I'm making progress with my bookkeeping. I think I could have my diploma finished early next year, if not this year.
I had a nice day out yesterday, and I was able to enjoy it somewhat, even though my depression was dragging me down. It was a beautifully kept gardens near Sevenoaks.

Tired, but triumphant and hopeful.
In the past week it has become clear that my in-laws were, at least in part, attempting to separate Melissa and I- I'm "emotionally abusive," and "lazy," which is a little rich coming from a person who hasn't held a job in several years, to a person who holds a job that keeps him working seven days a week, if I'm allowed to do so. It fits a pattern for her: whenever a person comes in and gives Luckie the courage to step outside of the little box her mom wants her to be in, and encourages her to stand up for herself, mom goes crazy and attempts to reassert control by changing the narrative to how terrible that other person is. It happened when Mel moved to Kansas, and it's happening again.
They weren't trying to make us homeless, they were trying to make me homeless so that I'd be separated from my wife, and she'd be emotionally vulnerable enough to listen to her mother in a moment of weakness.
It didn't work.
Luckie stayed with me, and we resolved the immediate issues in less than a day. We worked together, and we solved the homelessness issue, the one that was meant to ruin us out of vengeance, in a week flat. When they tried to put more roadblocks in our way, we vaulted over them a day later. Nothing this cadre of petty, vindictive assholes has attempted to do has slowed us down for more than an hour or two. They have failed, and we as a couple have succeeded. Dear old mom is so used to failure- and somehow she's found a way to fail in place, rather than straight down- that I don't think she could imagine someone actually getting up and fighting back. It certainly seems she couldn't imagine someone living outside of her own circumstances, where she just sets up shop in someone elses' house and doesn't pay rent. But that's the difference between her family and mine: my family are winners. It's the one admirable trait they have: what they want, they'll find a way to get, peacefully, by hard work. Luckie's in my family now, not hers: when we're together, nothing could stop us.
I love that woman, and I love that the moral arc of the universe is already bending back toward retribution. Mother-in-law lives with her parents, not paying rent, but they're in their eighties, and deteriorating every day. They won't be around forever, and when one of them does pass on, the other will not be living in that house any longer. When that happens, the unmitigated cunt will be just as homeless as she made us, only with no source of income to support herself with, and no family willing to take her in, because she's shown herself to be such a vicious bitch.
As she crowed in facebook an hour after making her own daughter homeless, "karma's a bitch."
