How's Everyone Feeling Right Meow?

It was still 95 an hour ago but if I'm going to take my weight loss and fitness regimen seriously, I need to knock out my exercise goals every damn day.  So I did my last almost two miles in the heat.  At least it's a dry heat , which we don't usually get due to the marine influence on our climate.

Ten days into this 6 month phase I've achieved my week 4 milestone.  Yay!   (The goal is 35 lbs in 6 months, but my calorie budget is for 50 lbs, and if I could keep the pace I'm on - I probably can't - I'll lose more than 80.)

Keep up the good work!

Mmmm, coffee.

I've got a long six-day work week
The early birds are soundin' sweet

It's early morning, and breakfast is fryin' uppppp.

The best part of waking up, is Folger's in your cup....

I'm so sorry... I couldn't help myself.Blush You have of a very descriptive manner of writing; it tends to create strong visualizations in my brain.
It goes without saying that I would imagine you playing a guitar and singing.

lol, well, I don't do anything until Dame Caffeine has had her way with me -- well, almost anything. A little guitarin' doesn't happen that early in the morning, for me, though when I managed for BP in California and had weekends off, my favorite Sundays saw me out on my back porch around 9:30AM with a tumbler of coffee and my six-string acoustic. 'Twas one of my favorite guitars ever I owned, lovely cedar top gave it warm tone for jazz and blues, not that sparkly country stuff, and those Sunday mornings were a cross between meditation and communion.

Good reasons for an abbreviated workout -- but good on you for pursuing as much as you felt safe and comfortable with. I get the feeling you are taking your weight-loss and fitness regime seriously. Keep on keepin' on, brotha. Congrats on being a milestoner. Smile

I used to work out doing taekwondo three times a week, before my health went south almost 5 years ago. I lost my will to do much of anything, because everything suddenly got so much harder. Really I lost my will to live, and I didn't give a fuck about much for years.

It's been really easy to find reasons to stay inactive, and I put on a lot of weight, which was on top of the ton of weight I put on due to a medication I was on.

Exercise and chronic pain is a bitch of a combination.

Fuck the pain, I can do this. It gets easier for every pound. I'll be ready to get back to hiking and backpacking by spring and I may be back in shape for scuba by next summer.

Yeah, I'm serious. I want the years I have left to be active. I may not be able to reverse the condition that causes all of my pain but lowering the pressure on my joints can't hurt.

That's fantastic CD Smile What a brilliant positive attitude!

I'm feeling like I want people to pile on me with hugs. Paddington is doing his best.

I'm in the same sort of boat, CD. I don't suffer being overweight, but my AVN in my hip has reduced my activity. I cannot trail-ride any more, I can walk but slowly, and hiking is a two-day affair, one day for the hike, one day (or more!) for the recuperation.

From that perspective, your drive is admirable in the true sense of that word. We can do this! (Get old, that is. Smile)
