Feeling pretty darn good. A friend of mine came in to get her hair done today and it was a lovely visit.

Feeling pretty good, end of the year work party- I got a department award, and individual award (with the accompanying $) and a pretty nice end of the year bonus - the first in 17 years. I have been feeling really insecure in my position but this is a game changer.
I don't think what I said really gets across how huge and how emotional today was. It was big, really big.

A cholecystectomy is a great Christmas gift if that little bugger has been giving you grief. (It should, however, worry the heck out of everyone that I can type the technical term for gall bladder removal without batting an eye.) Use the operation as an excuse not to lift anything heavier than a mug of beer till long after Robbie Burns Day.

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
