"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

C_L you're practically our mascot, at this point. Would be a terrible loss, if you stopped coming here. I admire your resilience and poise.

Thank you for the kind words.  Shy

I noticed you haven't been posting as much lately. Been missing your posts, brother!

I'm currently in a legal fight with the feds, as I try to move my business to Kansas City (in addition to the regular nightmare of trying to relocate a business). They have apparently glommed onto the pet hypothesis that I'm working with outlaw biker gangs, simply because I'm a former felon and do custom motorcycle work. They're trying to get me to help them take down some of the gangs as an informant. Once I told them no, the games began.

My lawyers have gotten their games nailed down, though, and we have a Show Cause hearing to release the funds they seized (when I sold my old shop) on January 8th. They used the IRS to seize it, even though I don't even owe taxes, but the IRS has backed off the instant the lawsuit was filed, and now we just need to clear the seizure order the FBI Gang Task Force got a Washington D.C. magistrate judge to sign last month, because they have no legitimate Probable Cause to do so. I have a federal prosecutor on my side, in this matter, looking into whether the people responsible for this have committed criminal acts in going beyond their lawful authority (both attorneys think they unquestionably have, but it's a matter of getting the proof once they're forced to reveal their records in open court on the 8th), so things are steadily looking brighter. Meanwhile, I'm spending a lot of time on the road, going to lawyers' offices, banks, and business meetings with people whose contracts I've had to delay... basically, keeping myself from having more repercussions from what they did.

I'm hoping to be more active again when this is over and I'm settled in my new location. I used to post when I had batches running on the CNC machine or when my CAD program was running stress calculations, etc. Now I'm stuck living on a shoestring budget and trying to finagle the things I need done without using money.
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

As to MTL, has anyone tried PM'ing her? I get an email along with each PM, so maybe she has that feature turned on.

Or maybe she bumped into a crazy lady with a scapel whilst holidaying in Australia?
Not saying any names of course...

D-P was one of my favorites.  We go way back to other boards.  He was Noble Savage at the old jesusneverexisted forum.

That makes sense, you are both old as dirt and somewhere to the left of chairman Mao.

He pops up from time to time in Member Photos. Used to post in Walking Dead thread now and then, too.

She did stop coming at one point a few months ago, but she's back by popular demand.

Great idea, I will try it.
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.
