You have very catholic tastes in comedy. Just like me.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I'm curious to know from a philosophical stand point.... if a person is a psychopath and does not have ability to feel empathy, and if this same person can only gain sexual gratification through rape and murder, what personal reason should he have for not going through with it?
If there is no objective value for the life of a human being other than our own personal empathy, what does that mean for the person who does not feel empathy?
It means that he is not welcome in society that values empathy, and that he will be removed should he act out his impulses.
Makes sense, thanks.
So if a person lives in a society that doesn't care about keeping women safe and sees rape as the right of a man, then there is absolutely 0 reason why a psychopath with a violent fetish shouldn't rape and murder. Is that accurate?

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Presumably yes, but you wouldn't get a society like that for long enough to qualify as a society. It would be self-defeating.

I agree with Stimbo. Some hypotheticals are simply stretching it too much. If you give up the premise that we still are somehow human, then sure, anything goes and nothing is sacred. But that doesn't give you much insight about the real world.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

No. There are other, biological reasons, which is why such behavior is relatively rare. Individuals killed by tribal justice, or turned out of the tribe, for acting that way would have a much smaller chance of surviving inside the wild long enough to pass on his or her genes, or even survive at all before the rise of civilization. Continued breathing strikes me as a powerful motivator.
The failure to pass on one's genes, including those affecting mental disorders, would result in fewer deranged individuals, leading naturally to a society which doesn't share their values.
No appeal to objective morality is needed, which is clearly what you're aiming at.

I wonder why you indulge this kind of vile diatribe for 12 fucking pages. Either this guy is totally deranged with equally psychopatic friends on the side, or he's simply a troll trying to draw some attention. Well, obviously he got what he bargained for.
The whole OP is something to barf over one way or the other and that's putting it very mildly. And with that, nuff said.

(They are atheists as well) I've been thinking a lot recently about this. Since I'm an atheist now, I'm starting to feel like raping and murdering a girl isn't necessarily
"wrong". Fellow atheists: Is this truly "wrong". And if so, how is it wrong? Atheists, would you do something like this? Why or why not, please explain...
Why aren't you also asking women if they would murder and rape a boy or man?

Is it even possible to rape a man?
