Yeah, it's extremely clear that Kylo knows who Rey is, and that she's on Jakku. I'm going to see it a third time tonight (basically, whenever I ask anyone I haven't seen for a while (current friend, college friend, brother, mom) to hang out, they're always like "sure! can we see star wars!" and I'm like "hellz yeahhhh dawg")

After re-watching the OT despecialised editions, I'm going to put forward that TFA is the best Star Wars movie ever made. I'd say the best by quite a significant margin, in fact.

No, she was explaining the modification made by that fat scrap monster to han. If you remember the cave scene who ever left rey on Jakku left her in the care of the fat scrap guy. So I'm sure she was very familiar piloting "his" ship.

I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

I will say it is up there with Empire strikes back.
That movie gutted original movie goers, and left you standing there with a 3 year cliff hanger.. Keep in mind that cliffhangers were NOT done back then! everything was tied up in one or two episodes. movies even trilogies did not leave you just hanging. Not to mention their was Always a clean liine between good and bad guys.. Now the main good guy's Dad was the main Bad guy! that was a big deal in of itself because it was strongly believed that the apple never fell far from the tree.
Could you imagine what would happen if you watched rocky 2 and did not find out who won the fight to the end of rocky 3 years later? or if you never witnessed all of these plot devises before and bam get hit with two or three mind benders all at once with no resolution for 3 years?
This movie maybe what empire was to all you ... young punky brewsters but to the one who has towed the line from the start it is just apart of the reason we love this saga so much

Kylo Ren was sent to the dark side by Luke, Han, and Leia as a sort of double agent Jedi to destroy Snoke and the last of the Sith. How else would someone trained by those three end up being tempted by the dark side?!
When he says he wants to finish what his grandfather started, he was talking about Ani, not Vader. He was talking about bringing balance to the force.
When he asks Han to help him, he was sincere. Perhaps Han even turned on the lightsaber. This cemented his loyalty to the dark side as far as Snoke is concerned.
This also explains why he had trouble with being tempted by the light side.
There's more to it dealing with Rey, but that's all I remember for now.
ETA: One scene that I thought stood out as weird and nonsensical was Kylo asking Han for help only to turn the saber on to kill him. Why did Han taking the saber allow Kylo to kill him? How was that helping? It didn't make sense. Now I'm thinking this settles it. Han turned it on. That's why Kylo says "Thank you."
Too many problems with that.
One Luke was the one who brought balance to the force not annie or so-low-alker. the other Jedi only assumed big midiclorean count meant annie was the one. The Jedi consul were much like the pharrisees/saducees, they were so wrapped up in their own rules and way of life they did not notice anything else that did not fit the life they thought they were living.
Think about it. until luke light side users had to be all but monks who could only allow or experience light side attributes. where heavy emotion like anger, love hate were all but bann. (that's why they coulld not get married) and Dark side user had to remain in a state of perpetual anger and hate.
Balance to the force refers to one who is a force user and can experience all of these emotions and feelings with out being consumed by their side of the force with them. (Not just one who has great access to the force which is what a high "M" count does,plus Anikin was overwhelmed too quickly with emotion and brought great power to the dark side, none of which speaks to balance.)
Luke Runs the gambit of emotions. Hate, anger, fear, love, peace, loyalty and not only masters his use of the force but also does not let any one emotion rule him. he even displays dark side power to varying degrees. (Force choke in RotJ on the Germoreian warrior/pig man who trys and stop him from entering Jabba's palace.) Which up until then was Vader's big move. So not some trivial dark side power. also no other lightside jedi in any cannon related material, uses force choke.
He also uses his anger and rage to finally beat down his father, then once he defeats him he shows mastery or balance/control by turning the rage off when the emperor urges him to strike down his father. So again true balance in emotion, true balance in the force is found with luke.
I am predicting that this balance or the effort to teach this balance is what turned Ben So-low to the dark side. he got a taste of ultimate power and wanted more for himself.
While luke repersents balance he is essentially a jack of all trades but a master on none. He can never be extreme and have mastery over force lightning like the emperor did or do the super lightside stuff only yoda could only do. that is what balance is. it is a little from each pile rather than the mastery over one. While Luke is a jedi Master in his own unique way, he will never be a master like vader or sidious or yoda/kenobi.
While given Luke's background (harsh life and time spent on tatooine) help prepare him for a more balanced life. So-low on the other hand probably lived a blessed easy spoiled life. so when he got around to experiencing real power it consumed him.
Which is a big plot hole to your fan theory. Darkside is all consuming, their are no double agents. One's life is completely hashed out and alliances earned by the blood of the innocent.. Think about it what is the ultimate end or goal to the dark side? it is to snuff out the light and rule the galaxy in darkness. Now if Snoke is the only reminate left of the darkside why would Luke or Ben solo want to add to his number by training under him to ultimatly become a dark Lord of the sith? Look at what he did in Rey's flash back to Earn his "Knight of Ren" title. He slaughtered all of Luke's Padawans. Not to mention once So-low got to Snoke to train underhim, as a sith (force stasis/power to stop a blaster bolt and mind rape are dark side powers.) why not just kill him then? It's not like he was the emperor and had legions of clones to protect him.
I just don't see how it makes sense to sacrifice the high ground (Galactic authority and power/support through the new senate) by Killing all of the new jedis allowing the first order come to power destroy the senate/coursant and the core worlds just to get close to someone your guy has been close to from the start of his training, just to kill him. Again even if solo could not kill him, he could have gotten word back and the galactic republic could have sent a whole army or just skywalker.

Why not just go to the senate (If they even knew of the dark lord/remember Sidious and Dooku were right under their noses all along and Yoda and the rest o the best of the best Jedi did not know they were even there.) and have luke explain this new dark lord and send out word.. at some point they would have stumbled across the 1st order which would lead back to the 'Supreme leader.'
No i think the first order was well off the republic scope. i think their were some empirial hold outs and that what leigha's job was to knock those guys out, but nothing in line with the first order. I think once so-low wiped out the jedi snoke (like yoda in e.3) felt a great disturbance in the force when Vader killed all the jedi. Then sought him/so-low out.
I think that the scene between Solo and his So-low son was So-low struggling with the idea of following the command to kill his Father. When so-low was given this command by Snoke, Snoke told him "what you must do has not been equaled in the history of the knights of ren." Meaning he must essentially seek out and kill his Father, because Han was So-low's pull to the light.
His whole speech was about not knowing if he had the strength to do what he had to do "kill Solo" (I make mention of the use of light in my other post) when the light faded he used han's desire to take the lightsaber as a point of conflict to ramp up the anger and emo rage he needed to kill him.
So I'm pretty sure the next three movies are safe for you to watch.
Unless Abrams does not follow Porkins law (to pull out when your wing man tell you to pull out) He did do this with lost. By the end of the first episode of lost I knew the island was purgatory by the middle of the first season so did David letterman and call him out on it. I remember abrams saying on the late show that Lost/the island was in no way purgatory... FF to the series finally the whole thing does not make sense unless it was puragtory.
(All the main characters repersent one of the 7 deadly sins, but exhibit semi good qualities, and they are all tested on the Island, when they pass a big enough test they 'died' and given enough time they all died the last being Porkins and everyone was waiting in a church for him to enter the after life...
I say all that to say, don't put it past abrams he has a history of doing whatever he think is right and damn the critics.
But didn't Ani kill the Emporer? Isn't that what attempted to bring balance to the force? In any case, apparently they both failed.

Perhaps. I didn't exactly grow up on the OT, my childhood was mostly dominated by the prequels (which I now recognise as irredeemable shite from beginning to end). I always hear 'ah it'll never be as good as the originals'. I don't subscribe to that mindset in the slightest, personally. I enjoyed TFA more than any of the others, so it certainly made me happy
