A conversation with Robvalue about religion.

RE: A conversation with Robvalue about religion.
The incredibly terrible mode of communication, coupled with the utter failure to clear up misunderstandings, is not consistent with a being that is incredibly powerful and actually wants to communicate with us in a clear way.

At best, it is them playing games with us, hiding one "special" book within hundreds of other books, which all read like fairy tales, and we're somehow expected to pick out the "real" one.

Not interested. God can communicate properly, which I'd expect him to be fully capable of, or he can get lost. Either way, even if he communicated with me directly, which again he should be perfectly able to do, I'm not going to fall to my knees and worship him. The idea that he'd even want me to is rather insulting to him, and paints him as an egotistical, immature humanoid with severe problems rather than a being which is above all human emotion.

MK, the logic is not there for any god claim from just the efficiency standpoint. It makes no sense to assign the "all powerful" attribute to a being, only to see the messy reality humans live in. It makes no logical sense at all to claim such a being, and defend it when it should not need your help or a PR department with salespeople. And again, this is not just about Islam, or the Koran, this is about any god claim. There is no conspiracy here, we are simply challenging you intellectually to think about your own logic and how it leads you to a false perception. We get that you like what you believe, but it simply is not true.

You will feel a lot better once you realize you do not have to live in fear of a fictional being. You will feel a lot better once you realize you don't have to defend an old book in a world of competing religions with the same amount of evidence, which is zero. We are not trying to hurt you, we are trying to help you.
