Another reason Buddhism doesn't get a pass.

RE: Another reason Buddhism doesn't get a pass.
Quote:"That old lady was probably a rapist in a past life, I better rape her to even things out."
-Karma said before infecting a child with hiv, after starting it's most recent lethal fire.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

This all following the centuries of sickness and ignorance that led to all the bad karma in the first place.

Naturally, as in...literally naturally, that's how nature works.  Guess how I know?   Buddha.

Buddhists could stand to learn something from that guy. I've witnessed people trying to justify this karma nonsense, they focus on the supernatural bullshit and forget the real meaning that can be found in Siddhartha's philosophy, they're so intent on defending the superstitions that they miss the value of Buddha's ideas.
You see these dimwits, shaving their heads, dressing in their special orange robes, isolating themselves in their designated temples where they can all sit around and agree with each other; they say they understand suffering while they feed themselves on alms given to them by the peasants out of inherent respect.

When you say "what has happened in the past" I don't know if you mean in the sense of bad karma in a past life or the actions of the victim's individual life. Either way, the idea that a victim somehow earns their rape is despicable. On what system does this karma shit operate? Is it supposed to be a consolation that the rapist themselves may be violated in the future or in a future life? Should it serve as a consolation that the victim who was assaulted probably did something to deserve it? Should we be glad when someone is assaulted? Is it poetic justice? Does that really put things in perspective for you?

"What happened in the past" means all of the individuals actions (good and bad karma). We should not be glad for such assaults.

Karma seems to approve of it. When little kids are tortured to death or sexually violated or blown to pieces as collateral damage in some war, Karma nods with approval, because they clearly deserved it by some vague standard that they will never understand.

Well, i don't approve of it being a Buddhist. I don't blame any victims. karma can be there or not. I use it so that i always move towards going good. Not that i force myself to believe that the force is actually there.

If it is there, it's an inconsistent little fucker. The cruel are never the ones who suffer the consequences of their cruelty, are they? It's always the innocent who suffer.

Your very correct. No matter how good i do, i have suffered and i will suffer in the future as well.
