Mentality is derived from the latin word mens. And that doesn't come into play very often.

When you're a creationist, and even Ken Ham thinks you're a fraud... you know you have problems.

Because Ken Ham is a con artist.

Yes.  I'd bet our friends Kingpin and CL would be. It's a good point. I have some xtian friends that certainly are outraged by stuff like this. They might object to my idea that guys like Robertson, Ham, Hovind, Westboro group, etc., should be front page news/trending on FB as often as possible.  Folks would see the nutjobs as typical Christians and atheist numbers would grow.

I'm thinking of asking Kent Hovind for help with my Ph.d dissertation.

I'm stuck on the part after "Hi, my name is Cthulhu."

Here's an idea from my personal experience: I once worked a summer program at a college that will remain nameless.  I was assigned to proofread thesis drafts.  One of the guys finishing a Master's Degree had written on the topic of "Experiences of Transcendence with the Divine".  It included three stories from his friends about their experience of god.  The rest was a recount of his own religious experiences, and how they correspond with various bible verses and the lives of a few saints.  No bibliography, no citations, no real structure, no analysis.  His conclusion section was advice on how to pray.

I refused to pass it.  Another faculty member did.  He got his Master's degree.

Hovind would be great with that topic!   Wink   He would probably dictate your paper in one interview.  Then you could give it all a great big evil elder-god Cthulhu twist, and things would get FUN.

Which is rather disturbing. Unless it was a religious - for lack of a better word - college.

The guy who got his Master's is working at a Catholic Church in Indiana somewhere - - I've kind of lost track.  Last I heard, he was writing books and submitting them to various religious publishing houses.  I could look him up and see if he has had anything published.

If I am am remembering correctly his "Bible College" was a rented office in a strip mall. I don't remember if he has a real degree even from religious colleges which really are not anything but degree mills. Liberty does teach some real subjects but the real intent of the school is to keep the Falwell family in power.
