Your concern is quite understandable, but you endanger the very underpinnings of any real democracy by telling people to compromise their own interests when they vote. Voting for the interest of the least common denominator who isn't on their side is not how the democratic process works.

Please answer my question on Hillary. Why should she be trusted not to finish the job of destroying democracy for the poor and middle class? She is not known for fighting globalism.

Yessiree, and that is exactly what the electoral system is intended for! Your willingness to induce others to compromise their own values at the polls frightens me, and I don't like being frightened. It used to be "Vote for Hilly, because Hilly knows what you want from your government", and now it's "Don't be a traitor - vote for Hilly, because a vote for Hilly is a vote for the team!" Sorry, but the polls are not the place for playing games. GWB gave the world the "You are for us, or you are against us" attitude (actually stated). This is facism.

Have you read my other posts? I have ripped more than a few assholes in that idea, and anyway it's non-sequitor to this discussion. It's the people who bow to objective values who compromise their own, anywhere.

No, I'm not trying to misrepresent you, wouldn't wish to with one who I respect. I'm just trying to point out a rather twisting turn in modern politics which you speak for, as you don't seem to appreciate why no proponent for actual democracy should be messing with it. It's a cure which is far more harmful than the disease. I'd suggest a better fix for the problem which we both are aware of and concerned with, but not having one is not much of a reason to resort to suicide. Give the fuckers inside the Washington Circle a record of who the voters actually want - they are the ones who should compromise without fucking you, not the other way around!
