I freaking loved the first episode. I thought it would just be a repeat of the nine seasons that ended in 2002, but they outdid themselves.
I am impressed.

"Aliens"
Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???"
Haven't seen it but if its still Vince Gilligan helping to write and produce it I'm not surprised. Being fresh from Breaking Bad and all.
When is season 2 of "Better Call Saul" anyway? I mean it wasn't as good but it was very watchable.

Meh.
I wasn't a passionate fan of the original and this seems like a re-hash.
Not everyone can enjoy the genius of certain shows.

I didn't like the long drawn out alien stories and the serious ones involving the smoking man and all of that. I love the simple ones where they had to tackle a different monster each time, like the guy who could control fire, the guy who could control electricity, the hallucinogenic mushroom type thing. The best fucking episodes were the pusher ones. With that guy and woman would could talk people into doing whatever they wanted. My friend told me about these new ones, I haven't seen them yet. I'm worried they might try too hard to make these episodes great and go for the long drawn out stories about aliens again, in favour of the simple monster of the week format. Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason. RE: New X-Files mini series discussion

There aren't new "ones" you could have missed.
Tonight was the first premiere of the first episode of six.

Withholding judgement for the monster and comedy stand-alones.
