What's your favorite culture?
I like humans the best. I'm going to guess that Adrain prefers the Ferengi. Which cultures do you not like so much? I'm not fond of the Borg. Which cultures get on most with each other? I think Hobbits and Elves get along pretty well.
Active bacteria is pretty cool. It loves us and we love it.
We like cultures closest to our own. We clash with anything different. I admire native americans and native australians. Industrialised nations seem inhuman and I detest those.

I hear that. I wouldn't go quite that far but I get what you're saying. My favourite culture is spanish / hispanic / latin based / mediterranean cultures. Spain, Italy, Greece, southern France possibly, and Latin America. There's more of a love of and emphasis on culture itself, and the priorities are right.
Best: Currently the Basque culture of northern Spain and France. Probably something to do with the fact that I recently read Shibumi, and Basque nationalists of the ETA seem to be the only real loyalty that badass supreme Nicholae Hel has (having fought on all possible sides of both the Israel-Palestinian conflict and the Troubles). And possibly because I consider Guernica the place where humanity as a virtue came to die.
Worst: The Turks. While the Germans eventually made Holocaust denial illegal, the Turks managed to make the acknowledgement of their genocide of the Armenians illegal.

Just a thought. How can you really stop people from denying the holocaust, or anything else? All you can really do is punish people if you catch them coming out with it, but you can't stop them from thinking it. And the thing is, when anyone has a thought about anything, sooner or later they'll communicate it. I don't see the point. I'm more interested in individuals than cultures really...
