CLICK and read this link.
And REMEMBER, this is not about rights, this is about ALL religions and how even the left forgets that "interpretation" is a bad argument. NO you don't do what this guy did, but regardless of what you want, others pick up that same book to justify this.
https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/u.s.-p...y-agenda-a
I would suggest the real reason you dont do that has to do with your evolutionary empathy and that the bible isn't doing it, your own empathy allows you to refrain from doing what that guy did. You cherry pick the same book he does.
But this also applies to Sunnis and Shiites, white Baptist Republicans and black Baptist liberals. THERE IS NO RIGHT WAY to interpret any holy book.

What a terrible fucking god to worship that wants to control who people have sex with. I don't think most religious people understand that the god they worship says a lot about them. I wouldn't be caught dead worshiping such a god. Especially since I have a daughter who is a lesbian. Fuck them. My daughter's fucking perfect.

Agreed. And again, this bullshit about condemning gays, while pretending to love them, is not real love.
As I said before, risky sexual behavior is not a patent owned by gays. Heterosexual teens can end up with unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases and can and do have oral and anal sex without condoms, which is risky. Even being married won't prevent that. We even know now that semen contains the HPV virus which can cause cancer.
Risky behavior is about hormones and or a result of prior abuse, not someone's sexuality. And the only way to reduce those risks is understanding HOW your body works in a scientific sense, what the risks are, and how to reduce them.
There certainly ARE lagit reasons to refrain from sex, and none of them are explained by an old comic book.

Oh, I see..and is that what you're doing when you decide that they can't get married, and that the enjoyment of their hearts desire is evil? You're -not- treating them badly, -not- seeing them as less human...than, say...yourselves?
I beg to differ, I think they might beg to differ as well. Have you failed to empathize in this, arguably the most simple and powerful common experience of human beings, who we love, and the joy and fulfillment of life in that love, a love like you have with your husband? Do you really think it;s just the bible that has some dehumanizing comments, or effect? Have you never considered that the living body of the church, yourself included - also make these same comments, also have this same effect?
Nope, nope..you needled in on the icky sex part. Just can't get your way around it. That's the "bad thing", taboo. Then, you excused yourself and your church for all that you condemn.

But this is what is so bad about religion, when it gets called out, it doesn't do the right thing and say "this is garbage", it incorporates liberal ideas after the fact, not in any real sense of pluralism, but to maintain and gain numbers. It is not fact testing as to why religion keeps going, but marketing.
No, now again, it will never completely go away, but this is the real reason religion keeps getting handed down from generation to generation. Not because the facts are there, but the marketing works.
But yea, even with cherry picking, like CL does, I still fail to see how her baggage is the responsibility of gays. But when she reads this, just like any other religious club fan of other labels, she'll mistake rights with logic.
Her club president has a forked tongue, and told the west one thing about gay marriage while telling parts of Asia they must defend "traditional marriage". Now, if that jerk is going to stick his nose into in to the personal lives of people he doesn't know personally, I think they have every right to respond to his hypocrisy and not only hypocrisy, but a DIRECT THREAT, to the safety of gays in less tolerant areas of the world.

It's difficult for me to understand what possesses a person to present dehumanizing literature in defense against the claim that their organization holds to dehumanizing principles. If the presenter truly does not see what is there - in a screed on how to deal with those afflicted by what is described as a condition, and even how those afflicted should comport themselves to adhere to the wishes of mother church...... then I'd say it's very effectively dehumanized the presenter.

Yeah, I don't get it.
"Oh it's not dehumanizing to tell people they're not allowed to have sex. Ever. Because they're attracted to the *wrong* gender. And they're not allowed to get married either. Those that get married don't have a REAL marriage. They shouldn't have the same legal rights that we do to form a commitment with someone they love, even if they don't plan on having sex with them. They shouldn't be allowed to find someone to spend the rest of their life with! That's not dehumanizing at all. Now let's read from this book approved by God that calls them abominations and calls for them to be stoned to death! God is wonderful! I love god more than I love my spouse!"

Does someone become a catholic because they already feel this way about gays, or are they required to feel this way because they have become Catholic?
Same goes for all the other doctrines.

That's a choice that needn't be mad. Those two propositions are a behavioral feedback loop.

I think the Church decides what their position is. If the church says jump, they say 'how high'. Apparently the church is okay with Pedophilia, but not gay marriage.
