That be nice to see those two repealed , although the gun nuts would go ape-shit if you take away there guns it might spark a other civil war if it passed. But, if pot became legal it may calm them down and they would have a shocking moment of clarity and see that all there lives could of been so much better with a blunt, a large pizza, and a movie.

I disagree, but I think it'd be great to have a country free of gun nuts all the same. I've learned, since joining the boards, that gun nuts are crazy. I thought I was one of them...turns out I'm not.

There should be law that if you got here before your fifth birthday, you should be eligible for the Presidential race, end of story. That way most of the adoptees are covered, and I highly doubt your country of origin could have much affect on very young children.

Well if I recall the electoral is an add-on to the system. Totally fucking useless in my opinion.
However the reason small states have the same number of senators as larger ones is to prevent tyranny of the majority, which would be a major issue. The us has most of its population clustered into a couple of states, so if you didn't have equal senators then the whole country would basically be run by new England and California. That fucks the south west, northwest and mid west. It would destroy American Conservatives, which while they have their place, they need a good wrecking right now.

Seriously though. I'd be down with those. Voting age probably would be the easiest. Most kids look forward more to being able to buy their own booze than getting to help choose the next old rich guy in Washington. Getting the enlistment age raised would be fought tooth and nail by people who are looking to join up for the college money, and there are a lot of those.
