My friend is from Pakistan, so I'm assuming he's a Sunni.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Tell me what it says that disputes what I said and don't come back til you do.
What is it with some people on this forum, giving hints, sarcastic comments, giving links, just make you're argument so I can reply to it.
Tell me which part of that full website you demanded I read changes the quran verse I showed.
I'm not saying you're wrong but fuck of with passive aggressive bullshit. Make a point, yourself, clearly, with no condescending sarcasm.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

You, as a Catholic, have a dogma. Protestants haven't. They also don't have an ultimate religious leader assuming to have sort of a red telephone to god. Same goes for Islam. There is no ultimate religious leader and no dogma. Neither for Sunnis nor for Shiites nor for the other different smaller denominations.
According to the dictionary definition of dogma, Muslims and all Abrahamic religions have dogma.
a belief or set of beliefs that is accepted by the members of a group without being questioned or doubted.
An example of a dogmatic belief of Muslims would be that Muhammad was a messenger of God.

Depends on the section of protestant. Many branches of Lutherans have catacisms full of dogma, and they aren't they only protestants with dogma. Speak to a JW, Calvanist, or a Footwashing Baptist. And don't get me started on the Mormons.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

If the majority of humans, regardless of religion, had her disposition, I could certainly live with her fantasy. The problem with all religions, is that others use their fantasy as a political justification to harm others.
She is an awesome person, and so was Ann Frank and Martin Luther King Jr. But unfortunately the world isn't free from the violent half using religion either.

Wait what if your name is Dave?
First off how do you Pak a human? But even if you wanted to fit a human in a suitcase, what if you wanted to PakiDave? Why does this guy "Stan" get all the attention?
And why do they have to be "Sunni", I am a procrastinator, I'd prefer to be a "Later-eeee"

I found the book particularly hard because the opening few chapters read like a continual No True Scotsman fallacy. As much as I wanted to sympathise with her and her cause, she appeared to be trying to make herself seem like a total hypocrite with no critical thinking skills.
It's a real shame. I will come back and read the rest of the book, it's important. I guess I'm so used to this kind of lame apologetics, that I found it infuriating to find it in her book too.
