One time Matt D had totally logicked out a caller, and their final rebutal was, "How about I come down there and punch your fat head..."
Why are those people so desperate to imprint on us that Christianity gives us morals generally horrible people?

Nah, they outbreed any attempts to cull their numbers.
I know. It's like the Hellhounds in the movie "Hellboy";
for every one you kill you create two more.

I remember some post-apocalyptic movie from the 70's that featured carnivorous, armor-plated cockroaches. If that doesn't give you nightmares....

not as much as the star-nosed mole, and its vaginal tentacles, does.

My favorite is probably the "Look at the trees" canard.
In every country and every age, the priest had been hostile to Liberty.

There's a lot to choose from.
"The bible is the only book that teaches the holy trinity!" is a bad one.
"If there was no god, why do we have fingerprints? God gave us fingerprints so we could identify criminals."
"The Bible says God exists, and you can't change the bible so it's true."
"Most people in the world believe in God. Who's more likely to be right, the majority of people, or a few atheists?"
"The ontological argument."
"The burden of proof is on the skeptics. So you have to prove he doesn't exist."
"What is proof? There's no proof of evolution, so I don't have to prove god. Therefore God exists."
The whole tone of Church teaching in regard to woman is, to the last degree, contemptuous and degrading. - Elizabeth Cady Stanton

I don't know who is worse, the 101 laypeople who say shit like this, or the elaborate snake oil apologists who either are just educated and deluded, or flat out lying. But either way, when I read crap like this, I can feel my IQ dropping.
